Carra Caravan and Camping Park is in the quaint Irish village of Belcarra – just south of Castlebar ! - which makes it an ideal place to base yourself if you are planning to explore the West of Ireland.
Our caravan and camping park is within 200 metres of a modern convenience store, two welcoming Irish pubs, a craft butcher, a church, a takeaway (5 –10 p.m. Fri/Sat Sun) and a new children’s playground. We have 20 camping pitches available with a choice of hard-standing and grass pitches.
The south Mayo countryside is as beautiful as its reputation. The Mayo section of the Wild Atlantic Way is easily accessible from here. Within easy reach is Knock Shrine (20km), Westport House (18km), the National Museum of Irish Country Life (8km), Ballintobber Abbey and Moorehall Forest Park (8km).
From the Carra Caravan and Camping Park it is also an easy drive to Achill Island, Croagh Patrick, Ceide Fields. Castlebar (the county town of Mayo) is only a short drive away and has cinemas, a theatre, golf-course, restaurants & a swimming pool.
