Our campsite is the perfect place to stay for walkers, cyclists and lovers of the great outdoors! Bishop's Castle is a 10 minute walk away along the Shropshire Way Footpath which runs through the site.
Foxholes Campsite facilities include:
Modern solar powered shower and toilet block. Toilets are flushed using a combination of harvested rainwater and water from an old well.
Main shower block with 3 wet-rooms including an accessible room.
Common room with five solar heated washing up sinks and a communal fridge and freezer.

The EcoCabin sleeps up to 6 people and enjoys glorious views and has one double room, two separate bunk rooms and a double sofa bed. The cabin has a wet room style bathroom with a shower and full central heating, making it the perfect escape all year round.
The Datcha is a woodclad cabin with a raised porch looking out over the valley to the Long Mynd. It sleeps 6 with a double bedroom, separate bunk bedroom and a sofa bed in the open planned Kitchen, Diner - Living space. With its own shower-room and full central heating this cabin is available to book throughout the year.
We have three lovingly converted Railway Carriages, each with their own character and style. All carriages can accommodate two and you are welcome to bring the dogs to join you! The carriages have a cosy, open plan bed, living, dining space with a simple kitchenette with fridge, induction hob and cold running water. The bathroom facilities are a minute walk away and shared with the campsite. Each of the carriages enjoy stunning views that can be enjoyed from an outside seating area.
Guests can explore Bishop’s Castle which hosts a number of festivals and live music throughout the year. A walking festival (the second week of June); a stone skimming championships (the last Sunday in July); a carnival (the first Sunday in July); The Offa’s Dyke Path, Wild Edric’s Way, and the Kerry Ridgeway are all within striking distance, the last of these doubling as a cycle route if you’re a peddler rather than a plodder.
Meanwhile, at basecamp, wildlife is nurtured, and the hedgerows left to grow freely, which pleases the birds that thrive here, and adds to the morning welcome.
