Greendale Farm Caravan & Camping is a luxury and award winning campsite, located in a beautiful part of Rutland at Whissendine near Oakham. Our tranquil and peaceful adult’s only site is perfect for those who want a relaxing break away, to a beautiful part of the country where you can enjoy the calm and serene atmosphere. A walk along our quiet lane will take you to Whissendine village where there is a cosy and dog friendly pub and convenience store.
Our aim has been to provide a haven where adults can enjoy beautiful views of rolling countryside as far as the eye can see along with well maintained facilities.
We have hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up for tourers (plus 1 grass pitch) and our shower/toilet block is heated. A bird-feeder is in sight of every pitch. Other on site facilities include an outdoor small heated swimming pool (in high season) and a shop which serves snacks, drinks, ice creams and a selection of local produce.
The local area has a range of things for all to do. So if you are staying with us to rest and recuperate or to enjoy an energetic break – Rutland has it all. You can find great country walks directly from the campsite, or you can find lots of variety slightly further afield. Our information-stop has plenty of local maps and walking/cycling routes and suggestions.
We recommend a local circular bike-ride (or walk) between Whissendine Windmill and Wymondham Windmill. The cafe, cycle shop and gift shop at Wymondham Windmill will keep you fed, watered and entertained at the half-way point. And if the weather is up to it - you can cool off in our fab little pool when you get back!
