Oxton Hill Hideaway Shepherds Hut Holidays in Southwell is ideal for a memorable touring and glamping holiday, based on an equine farm. Nestled in rural Nottinghamshire, we are a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
We have two charming huts available, Pond View and Paddock View. Both huts have an enclosed garden, ideal for your four-legged friend. Pond View enjoys delightful views over the garden pond and Paddock Views offers lovely views of the Paddocks.
Each hut is well-equipped and comes with everything you need for a cosy getaway. Inside the huts, there is a log burning stove & logs, double bed, en suite bathroom (shower & sink and WC) kitchenette (microwave, kettle, single induction hob) sink and toaster. Outside there is a patio area with a table and chairs, offer a great spot for a coffee in the afternoon sun. A gas BBQ and garden bench are also provided.
We have 5 wonderful adult-only pitches for touring motorhomes, camper vans and caravans, based in a secluded setting. Please note, there is no shower block onsite and all motorhomes will need to be self-contained. Facilities include:
Water available, grey/black water disposal.
Solar site lighting in trees.
Grass pitches with some reinforced standing.
Outstanding views overlooking horse paddocks.
We are close to the Southwell, home to Southwell Minster, Southwell Racecourse, Southwell Golf Club, shops and restaurants. The area also has lots of scenic walking and cycling routes, offering the ideal way to admire the gorgeous natural landscape. History fans should head to the Museum of Timekeeping or The Workhouse, run by the National Trust.
