Description

Dale Farm is a small, rural campsite and working farm located in Great Longstone, Derbyshire, situated in the heart of the stunning Peak District countryside. Less than a mile from Monsal Head and the Monsal Trail and just a few miles from Bakewell and Chatsworth House, our site is ideally positioned for exploring the many delights the area has to offer.

Whether you enjoy walking, rambling, mountain biking, climbing, cycling, landscape photography, stargazing, or sightseeing and shopping, Dale Farm places all these activities right on your doorstep. The natural beauty and attractions of the Peak District are easily accessible from our tranquil location.

We offer a variety of accommodation options, including pitches for tents, campervans, motorhomes, trailer tents and small to medium caravans. We have 35 pitches in total, all with electric hook up, 10 are hardstanding. For those looking for a more luxurious camping experience, we rent out fully equipped bell tents for 2-4 people. These allow you to camp in style while bringing only minimal gear.

Our site features a purpose-built washblock equipped with 8 toilets, 7 showers, 4 pot-washing sinks and a dedicated disabled and family facilities room for your convenience. Additionally, there is now a fully functioning toilet located at the top of the camping field for added accessibility.

Dale Farm is strictly a peaceful and quiet campsite. We do not allow music and discourage group bookings due to the potential for noise. To ensure a restful environment, we enforce quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am. During these hours, car movement is prohibited and we ask campers to keep their voices low to respect others who may wish to retire early and enjoy the surroundings at their best the next morning.

This is not a party site or a place for late-night drinking. We have created a peaceful haven for visitors to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the area, and we expect all guests to respect this ethos. If your intention is to party or stay up late, we kindly ask that you look for alternative accommodation. We reserve the right to cancel bookings or refuse entry to anyone we feel may disturb the peace and quiet of the site.

Our on-site farm shop offers a range of local products, including our own beef, lamb/hogget and pork, as well as cakes, cards and eggs from a nearby farm. We also stock firewood, kindling and firelighters for your convenience.

Dale Farm provides the perfect retreat for those seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty and serenity of the Peak District while respecting its peaceful environment.

There is plenty to see and do in the area, including:

Chatsworth House.
Haddon Hall.
Arbor Low Stone Circle and Gib Hill Barrow.
National Trust - Padley Gorge.
Treak Cliff Cavern.

Rates: From £25 per pitch based on 2 people sharing inc electric.
