Upper Hurst Farm near Hartington is perfect for a tranquil getaway in a breathtaking countryside setting. Nestled in a rural, elevated position in Derbyshire, we boast outstanding views. A short drive away are the 4 major Peak District market towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne, Leek and Buxton.
Our award-winning and eco-friendly site offers facilities for camping and glamping, all based in a glorious countryside setting. The super camping pitches are based on a spacious, gently sloping field, offering spectacular views over the scenic landscape. Our super-pitches are generously sized, with each pitch of a generous size and more than 11 square metres. Each super-pitch has a 16A electric hook-up, its own water tap and a grey waste disposal point at the rear of the pitch. We also have 15 tent pitches with 10A electric hook-up, set around the perimeter of the main camping area.
Gai’s Hideaway: Our magical yurt is a haven for nature lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. Open the door to the picturesque sunrise and enjoy being serenaded by the sound of birdsong. Inside this sumptuously furnished lodge is a high circular bed with a custom-made headboard and gorgeous throws and cushions, perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep. Lavish features include Goose-feather & down pillows and duvet, Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels, fluffy dressing gowns and a food hamper on arrival.
A delightful custom-built min kitchen includes a refrigerator, washing up and cooking facilities. There is also a dining and lounge area around the toasty log burner. Outside there is a Cadac BBQ and patio set for al fresco dining when the sun is shining. You can also enjoy a luxurious experience in our fantastic s 1700-litre, red-cedar, wood-fired hot tub. A private compost toilet is also available.
Glamping Caravan: We offer cosy glamping accommodation in our fabulous caravan. The tastefully furnished caravan includes an array of wonderful features, including handmade curtains and reupholstered seat cushions and pelmets. Inside there is a lovely double bed with a memory foam mattress, feather duvet and pillows and 100% cotton linen.
A lovely kitchen area includes a gas hob and grill, a microwave and a kettle for home cooking. A toilet is also available and outside there is a charming patio area with a bistro set and gas BBQ for al fresco dining. You can also unwind in the sun on the sun loungers.
All of our guests have access to a range of excellent facilities, including an immaculate toilet and shower block with underfloor heating, plus a fantastic wet room that offers access for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. Additional facilities include pot washing basins, a coin-operated washing machine and dryer, plus a smaller freezer.
A 4.5 acres field offers amazing views and to the north children can play a range of games, offering a mown area with football posts and swings and slides. Dogs are also welcome around the 4.5-acre field. Children will love the regular ‘Meet the Pony’ sessions we offer, providing the opportunity to groom the ponies and help feed them.
