Hawthorns Glamping is an independent glamping site situated in the heart of Norfolk. Surrounded by peaceful countryside, it’s the perfect spot to relax with friends and family while soaking up the beauty of the Norfolk landscape. Conveniently located, it’s just a short drive to the stunning North Norfolk coastline and the vibrant city of Norwich, offering a mix of tranquility and adventure. We have a choice of glamping including two safari tents, a tiny house and a lodge.
Muntjac & Fallow Safari Tents
These luxurious wooden-framed canvas safari tents each sleep up to six people, offering plenty of space for friends, family, or couples to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. Thoughtfully furnished, the tents ensures you don’t miss out on those little home comforts. The open-plan living areas feature power sockets, a dining table with chairs and sofas. They each have two double-sized bedrooms and a cabin bedroom, all equipped with bed linen, duvets and pillows. There is a kitchen area with an oven and small fridge-freezer complements the setup, along with a separate bathroom with a bath and shower in both of the safari tents.
The tents open onto a timber veranda with additional seating, overlooking a tranquil two-acre meadow. Outside, a firepit with log seating provides the perfect spot to enjoy evenings under unpolluted, star-filled skies.
Fox Tiny House
Fox Tiny House is a luxurious, fully insulated and double-glazed retreat, perfect for couples seeking a cosy getaway. Thoughtfully furnished with all the comforts of home, it features a king-size luxury bed, a sofa, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave, as well as a drop-down table with stools. The tiny house includes a shower room, power sockets and heating for chilly evenings, with all bed linen and towels provided. Overlooking a three-acre meadow, the house offers plenty of space to relax, even with other accommodation nearby. Outside, a firepit with log seating provides the ideal setting to enjoy peaceful evenings under the starry sky.
Squirrel Lodge
Squirrel Lodge is a chic and contemporary addition, offering couples a truly special retreat. This light and airy lodge features spacious open-plan studio accommodation, combining laid-back luxury with modern convenience. Inside, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, a high-end shower room and a sitting area, all designed for comfort and relaxation. There is also a bedroom area with double bed. Outside, a seating area with a firepit provides the perfect spot to unwind with an evening sundowner. Entirely off-grid and powered by solar energy, the lodge still offers all the modern amenities you need, including Wi-Fi, for a memorable stay.
Extra Onsite Facilities
Onsite we have a children’s mud kitchen, swings/sandpit, games for outside stored in the log shed and swing ball. We can also offer extras for an additional cost, such as delicious breakfast or BBQ hampers.
Visiting the Area
We are in an ideal position for exploring the local area. The two villages of Bawdeswell & North Elmham are only a couple of miles away and the 3 market towns of Reepham, Dereham and Fakhem are all accessible by car. The seaside is only 19 miles away and has lots of walks, pubs and restaurants. Attractions to visit include:
