Mypod.wales is a family run business that is based on a farm within the Powys village of Llangammarch Wells which is close to Builth Wells. We specialise in creating wooden pods that are bespoke to your requirements. We only use high quality, locally sourced materials and with many years of engineering and craft experience.
The pods are built at a size of 8ft x 14ft using a steel frame which is rolled into shape and then welded. The flooring is insulated and covered with exterior plywood. The interior is then lined with plywood, or tongue and groove boarding if preferred, and next a 4" layer of insulation is added.
Breathable felt then covers the insulation and after more boarding is added, the exterior feather edge is screwed in place. Each pod generally has one PVC or timber framed window and a stable door - although this can vary as preferred.
Lighting and electrical outlets can be fitted on request. This is usually two double sockets and light fittings inside and in the porch area.
We can make pods that can be used for glamping, as office space, sheds, playhouses and garden living space. The choice is yours.
